Temple Bar lights the flame for Trad Night by Candlelight.
Today, Monday 22nd March, in The Oliver St. John Gogarty's Bar in Temple Bar the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, John Gormley T.D alongside RTE radio presenter & leading Trad musician Kieran Hanrahan officially launched Trad Night by Candlelight - a new initiative as part of Earth Hour 2010….Temple Bar TradFest wins...
Dublin’s biggest and best Irish music and culture festival was celebrating today as it claimed the title of Best Traditional Festival in Ireland at the Irish Festival awards 2009….TradFest 2010 has come to an end
The Temple Bar TradFest 2010 has now come to a close but those who were in attendance are in little doubt that it was the best in the events 5 year history. With well over 300 performer involved in the concerts, pub session, street theatre, parades and puppetry the festival was bigger than ever before. The wheels for the Temple Bar TradFest 2011 are already in motion and in order to make sure the success of the festival continues to grow we need your help. Thursday night in the Project Arts Centre (Beoga), Friday night in the Project Arts Centre (Téada) and the concert by Matt Molloy, John Carty and Arty McGlynn (Thursday Button Factory) are sold out! Today, Tuesday 12th January programmer Kieran Hanrahan announced details of the forthcoming Festival at a reception in The Clarence Hotel. Ireland’s oldest Céilí band, the Kilfenora Céilí Band, marked the launch with a very special performance on the roof of The Clarence Hotel.Tickets available now!

Well it’s been an incredibly busy few days for all involved in the Temple Bar TradFest and it’s only going to get busier! The official launch of the festival took place on Tuesday night and was an outstanding success.Nominated for the Irish Music Festival Awards
TASCQ are delighted to announce that Temple Bar TradFest 2008 has been nominated for the Irish Music Festival Awards in the category of Best Traditional Festival.Voting will take place during the month of December and January. All votes will be collated and revealed in February.
