Dublin Bikes

Dublin now has its own bike sharing scheme. It is a self-service bike rental, with 42 stations and 550 bikes throughout the city centre. You can hire a bike for the whole day for e10. If you’re just going for a  quick spin the first 30 mins is free after that you pay a small charge for every ½ hour of usage.

Bus services run from about 6am to midnight throughout the city. There are 24 Nitelink routes operational after midnight on Saturday and Sunday morning.

Taxis

Taxis can be hailed on the street or in taxi ranks – three of the main taxi ranks in the city centre are located on O’Connell Street, St Stephen’s Green, and closest to Temple Bar at College Green.

There are a variety of ticket options available from stations and in many newsagents. Stations: Connelly Stn. Serving North East, Heuston Stn. Serving West, Pearse Stn. Serving South East

 

Buses to the Airport

Dublin Bus’ Airlink operate high frequency buses from Dublin City Centre to Dublin Airport (bus 747 and 748). Aircoach provides a 24-hr luxury service to the airport from 4 locations in the city centre. The cheapest option is to take city buses 16 or 41 from O’Connell Street; luggage space is limited however,

and the trip takes slightly longer (about 40 mins total).
